I've not had rhubarb pie in ages... My gran made it when I was a kid from the rhubarb in her garden. Gooseberry pie was cloșe second

It’s hard to find a good rhubarb pie. The ones with strawberries included doesn’t count in my book. We had a local bakery that made a bonafide rhubarb pie but went out of business. Mom made rhubarb pie, cobbler and sauce.
Of all the pie’s that have so far been mentioned, none of them stack up to the good old mince pie 🥧…….especially when served up with custard ! ……..absolute heaven ✌️😎

Yeah.. Rhubarb pies should not contain strawberries. Sounds good food fare there :) :)

There are proper mince pies which are minced meat and then sweet "mince pies" that some people eat at Christmas

Seems like rhubarb grew everywhere when i was young, now it’s hard to find. I remember going with my Mom gooseberry “hunting” as we called it. That and wild asparagus along side old country roads. Couldn’t stand eating it then, but now? Bring on the asparagus!
At least that's what my kids tell me. Not sure how it relates to chess, other than the base of chess pieces are circles. Also it's Simone Biles birthday.
