Happy Thanksgiving

I know this is truly an international forum, and Thanksgiving is "only" an American holiday, but I'd like to wish all members in the USA a very happy Thanksgiving.

And to all you international members, I'd like to invite you to pause a little today and remember what it is that you have to be thankful for too, even if your country is not celebrating it with a recognized day.

This morning I was out to get my coffee and newspaper, and I engaged a young man in conversation. He told me that he has two little girls, ages 2 and 5, and that this is his FIRST Thanksgiving with them. For the last six years he has missed the holiday because he was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. I thanked him profusely for his service and our freedom. That's what today is all about.

Be well.
