Gangs are terrible for me, I don't want to play a realistic version of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.
I get shot at on the road all the time, and even halfway through a fight the police come and beat me up, and I have to drive away.

Especially if you're moving to the US to work, you are probably already above average in education and money, so you probably wont be living in a very bad area.
I'm not saying you have to be rich to go to the US I just mean, for example, very poor Americans can't even afford the food and medicine they need. If you're buying a plane ticket and moving into an apartment you're already much more wealthy than that.
