I'm not saying you have to be rich to go to the US I just mean, for example, very poor Americans can't even afford the food and medicine they need. If you're buying a plane ticket and moving into an apartment you're already much more wealthy than that.
Most of the crime I see happens in Florida, so maybe the place is really messed up.
