Sure.

Interesting side note, I make my own staffs, not full quarterstaff length as I've found shorter staffs are more convenient for me. My favorite wood types for the job are ash and hophornbeam, especially hophornbeam.

That’s great!  I don’t make them for others, but mine I make from Vine Maple.

Nice! How does vine maple stand up to hard use?

Some time ago I fashioned a blog involving the martial art kenjutsu, called Kensei.

Over all, I think it makes a great staff. Rattan is too flexible. Oak, Walnut, and the other hardwoods are too stiff.  I guess it is flexible enough to store some energy, soft enough to absorb some impact, and I like the slightly lighter weight.

Okay, it sounds good. We do not have it here in the northeast, so I don't have any experience with it.

Forget martial arts I personally prefer my ar15 , glock, or my k bar tactical knife from my service days

This stalled out in February. Can we resurrect it from the dead?

Best boxing combination on the streets?

I prefer Jab, straight, and hook/uppercut!

And of course circle circle circle, and some footwork if needed etc

Do you know how to fight with a karambit? I do

Lel what if you have no training all at unarmed and you get cornered in like a wall or some tight space by a giant woman or man with big muscles what you do?

Like your not big or muscles, no combat training and in a tight tight space?

ChampoftheBepoCamp

Um could you elaborate more lel... like what could you do...

I would assess risk and just Jab and Straight or get my knees and beg for mercy etc if threat is unavoidable

ChampoftheBepoCamp

Hmm what's your blackbelt in... do you watch MMA; Ufc bellator etc?

I just follow UFC... following since april 2018 (UFC 223 Ppv)

ChampoftheBepoCamp

Hmmm have you had any bouts? As in MMA fights, or boxing etc

ChampoftheBepoCamp

Lel so only training and sparring for you?

After wearing a black belt for many many years, its color will fade and you will return being a white belt again. That's how UI Goku (from Dragon Ball) got his silverish hair color from. Pretty neat, eh?

A black belt was a white belt who was actively training, and the belt turns black from sweat and dirt. As a person ages and transitions to teaching he spends less time on the floor, and the belts will fade to gray.

Actually, this is a myth. A white belt would not turn into black on its own. The closest it would turn to black after years and years of sweat and grime would be a dirty gray color.

What martial art, and how long have you been doing the martial art?

That is the color of the original blackbelts. I do not believe it to be a myth.

originally there where no colored belts. the creator of judo started the belt system and made White, Brown, and Black belts. Nowdays there are many more. (the order of my karate system is white, yellow, orange, green, blue, blue with stripe, purple, purple with stripe, brown, browtn with stripe, black
