There are two types of people who will be very interested in knowing that you're depressed and young. People who want to help you, and people who want to take advantage of your vulnerability. Since there aren't many people on chess.com who can help you, you're more likely to run into the dangerous kind. (Of course there may be many sympathetic kids who say they hope you're doing ok, but they won't be able to help you beyond that.)

Anyway, I don't recommend giving out that info (your age and depression) in public places online, like on your profile. Hopefully you're able to tell a trusted adult in real life, for example a teacher at your school or a family member.

Exactly, I didn't want to go into to much detail since it was unsolicited advice .  However good intentions are not enough. Expertise is also required.  So while your friends can lend a sympathetic ear, what you really need may be an action plan that is right for you and that you can actually put into practice.
