As long as the output isn't monetized or it's used as a tool rather than a means of production, I don't really mind AI. I do get the problems with how it sources and I do think that artists should have the option to remove their work from the training pool. But when it is used to compliment actual work, such as an AI-generated sound being used in a non-AI song or AI being used to generate abstract background patterns for existing artwork, I think that it can be useful and is no different than sampling in music, which is fairly accepted.

as someone who wants to be an artist/writer after school it’s literally so hard to explain to ppl why generative AI makes me nervous 😂

I wanted it to generate a pixel art plane with a view from the top. The pixels were more circles than squares and after many attempts I couldn't get a top view.

i don't really have an opinion on ai, but i feel like the more that people hate ai, the less it's gonna be used by people since people will support it less and stop using it.
Refusing to use one of the most advanced technologies the world currently has to offer (which is going to improve) seems like a poor choice.
