I was hoping we could stage a 'sit-in' to force management to listen to us. first we get enough people together, this should be easy, then we all log on but don't play any games until our demands are met. MacroMind13 will be our spokesman, the bunny will serve drinks and I will try to aquire 10% of the new profits cc makes because it was my idea in the first place.

We will also demand an uncensored version of the French Revolution painting in post 1. This will be the new standard wallpaper for cc.

exactly MegaMind13 ,they can only gain from this. did you know the average retirement age of chess.com staff is 32? The money does not come from memberships but from ads ....more members, more ads, more money. So keep your members happy by offering them more choice and quality service.

Then you know something about C.c's buisiness that they dont. I think C.c probably tries to set their membership prices and bundled features, as well as advertising fees, etc.. in such a way as to maximize their income. so if you you say were true, and C.c knew it, then all paid features would be free. So as to attract more free members for the advertizers, no?

Done. Should we have a simple slogan like " Freedom," or just go for T-Shirts that says " Choice ,Quality "?

blastforce when I declared this thread free from language laws and spelling rules I didn't mean you can just go ahead and talk any old crap you like . what are you saying man!? We don't want free stuff ,we want cheaper options for limited activities that still includes advertising.

40   : okay for me but the wall paper I'm a monarchist

I think a monarchy is potentially correct under the correct circumstances.

The perfect form of government would be a monarchy in which the power of the monarch is limited by G-d as set forth in the Torah, and rabbis to regulate the king's powers.  The king of such a Kingdom must follow these customs:

1.Study the Talmud every morning with the most qualified and select scholars.  This would increase his wisdom to make better informed decisions and could recall Talmudic wisdom when making political decisions.

2.Keep up on current affairs.  Also by having people at the grassroots level so as to avoid being out of touch.

3.Somewhat related to number 2, the king must slum it every month.  This is so he could understand the plight of the poor and therefore not just be kind to the poor because of a Biblical decree but personal experience and observation.  One of Isaiah and other prophets' complaints was the rich getting richer without regard to the poor.  Amos said that some were so poor that they didn't have enough money to feed their families and had to borrow from the rich.  If the poor didn't pay on time the rich would confiscate their goods in place of money or even sell their kids into slavery.  They would also sell them food that isn't fit to eat and overcharge and outright cheat the poor.

As per Leviticus 19:9 a corner of a field must be left unreaped for the poor.

4.Also elsewhere it states to give to charity according to one's means.

5.Teach in history around the world how Assyria was allowed to defeat Israel in Biblical times because the Jewish people at the time forgot the Covenant.  This is to remind the people that bad things can happen if the Covenant is lost.

It doesn't matter how 'free' any other site is it could NEVER compete with cc as far as the low quality, utterly boring and repetitive forum topics go. There are more new word games on here than actual chess games. It sounded a lot better in my head, now it kinda sounds like a bad thing.

We still have the bunny though

There are enough free tactic sites on the interweb to keep the OP busy for the next million years.

I declare this thread over. Basically I came up with a brilliant business plan that would see even more money flow into chess.com's account and make it the most poweful chess site on earth. I was soon joined by the brilliant French analyst and business mind micromacro13 and the ever Laconic tkbunny. We formed a small but strong and dedicated group that came up with a way to see this incredible idea make it to mount Olympus where the cc staff lives. The bunny would mix the drinks and the Frenchman would do the talking while I would try to make some money for myself out of it. We were close for a few short moments ...there was a smell of carrots and snails in the air. But alas like our spokesman said ' it is a matter of time' In due time cc will steal our idea and laugh at us from the comfort of their luxury yachts while we drown our sorrows in the stuff the bunny mixes for 40c a pop.

you are now free to post pictures of cats or demand free beer to your heart's content gayknight

WTH man? If chess.com sucks so bad why are you even here? If we wanted to be on lichess we'd be there

Why is chess not so popular in the far East ? Half of chess was created by the Chinese and they play a bit but no one from Korea plays, there are about three guys from Japan on the site and no one from Vietnam, this has always made me wonder.

Avatar of Solastalgia

Don't even get me started on Thailand and Laos. from what I understand 98% of people from the far east that plays chess actually lives in the USA or Belgium.

Avatar of Solastalgia

In Belgium people only play chess because there is literally nothing else to do but drink or play chess. Unless you have cable then you can watch TV. Belgium is also the only country where chess is officially considered a sport. The only other people who think chess is a sport come from the USA and don't know what they are talking about.

Avatar of Solastalgia

while I am busy setting things straight ....Kasparov is and was the best chess player ever , second was that guy from Cuba who also boxed and both of them regarded knights as being far superior to bishops.

Avatar of Solastalgia

I know exactly where you are going with this bunny but I don't think the audience is ready for the truth about Belgium yet.
