No, programming is different. Scratch has no support for anything and rarely works properly.

Scratch isn't the best, but it's useful to learn for the basics of coding.

For example, I've known Scratch for a pretty long time, and it's helped me with understanding Python and Java (2 of the languages I'm learning)
