#1 government doesn’t really focus on economic development too much. They typically focus on urban development rather than economic and environmental issues.

Here’s the thing it’s all about taxpayer moral. Obviously we put our lives and wellbeing first so we care about economics more than the environment. But it’s not to say that we don’t care about the polar bear extinction and yada-yada but it’s just that we don’t have the money/resources to put into that as well when we are struggling to by 12$ eggs by the dozen.
So if we were to be in a stable economy with the taxpayer not being flooded with overwhelming taxes and debt then they would feel more inclined to be involved in the solution and donate to the cause. But rn we need to focus on ourselves.

For making claims or deciding your topics I like to try to kill two birds with one stone and show how doubling down on one side can help us obtain the other in scenarios like this.

Well I mean just watch some environmental impact documentary and just mention the problems you see in there and look up how much these problems will escalate in the upcoming years. For example smog emissions or pollution and the percentage of growth. If you have time to prepare for a subject with that theme numbers are always appreciated

We have made groups for the topic and we have to gather info and to discuss next week.
I would just do some research on the topics. I will say that global warming is a big issue that shouldn’t be overlooked.
