Lol troll
I need math help (statistics)
Can’t secure hike emergency radios play 75% in 30 minutes or something, how is it 25%? Shouldn’t it be 25% left after 30 minutes idk
Seems like they're discarding the 3 highest and 3 lowest values. If that doesn't mean anything for this problem then...
There are 15 data points. So you solve by counting the number that are at or above 30 then divide by 15.
For secure hike 5 numbers are at or above 30.
5/15 = 33%
For X-Ttreamline there are 9 numbers at or above 30.
9/15 = 60%
So yes, it's likely 25% of secure hike will play for at least 30 minutes, because in the test even more played that long.
For X-Treamline it's likely that 50% will play at least 30 minutes because in the test even more played that long.
I mean... I'm not sure this answer (above) is correct but... I'm not sure how else to do it.
With 15 data points I don't know how to ever get exactly 25% (because 25% of 15 is a decimal number).
And when I use z-score stuff (I don't know how old you are and what you're doing) but it's when you calculate the mean and standard deviation, then (typically) you use a lookup table... I get values like 63% for one sample and 16.5% for the other.
Wait what? I’m confused 12 divided by 15 is not 0.75, PLEASE HELP
It says "about" 75% and 12/15 is 80%

Yeah because you want the answer to be "local" and not "any farm in the country."

Do you mean like bottom right? Or do you mean like bottom right, right? And guessing isn’t going to help you gotta calculate it out. They always want to see your work or whatever. 🤦♂️
