Metal detectors are actually useful for confining and determining the point of assault. Next time you go to a government facility that uses them look for the other security measures before you actually get to the metal detectors.
I agree with some of what you said and am certainly against bullying. But I’m also against social media and advertising that says put make up on to be beautiful. And weigh this much to be acceptable. Bullying takes many forms and Facebook instagram etc. Is just as bad as the idiots calling names and picking on people. They stoke the fires to make money.

At my school there are no metal detectors. Also read what is in white.
I saw. Usefulness really depends on the school. Newer schools do a better job in considering security in the design and construction. In a lot of older schools it is a big challenge and metal detectors would not be effective.
