It’s men who think this is a dating site who are the reason why I don’t add any men as friends. Many men just want to play chess, but too many are like “hey, how are you doing? What’s your name? Where do you live? Can you send me pictures?” It’s irritating.

I consider myself an expert on this matter.
The answer is a definite "no". What's more, even over the board, a male player needs to be higher graded than his female prospect for him to stand a chance. Female players are hypergamous on these matters as they are on other markers for worldly success. The chess playing pool of potential girlfriends is severely restricted for males. Nevertheless, a decent chess player may use his chess talents creatively to gain an edge over his none chess playing normies in society in general when trying to attract the fairer sex.

Truth be told, it depends on a lot of things. You have to understand that women are not generic. If you mean to court a lady you must take her classes and take her seriously, even whilst trolling her.

Yes, I have many chess.com friends that just so happen to be girls. Does that count?
That said, chess is a game, and the game is only interesting when there is a challenge. If you cannot win at least 2/5 games with somebody then you can't exactly hope to win the next person's attention, unless said person loves to coach or suffers some unfortunate condition as narcissism and so forth.
