Job Interview Advice?

If you were an animal at the zoo, what would it be and why? (this is actually a common general question, lol"
Some people may try to ask whay your flaws are... and this can be phrased in different ways.
I'd be a penguin, just a generally chill animal who excels in certain environments and can be found in groups or alone.

Insightful and thoughful questions are also appreciated... don't just nlurt out... how much am I going to get paid and how many vacations you get... you'll get to that. Sell yourself first.
Ask how you can help them. Ask if there are any challenges in the role. Nod in agreement. Keep smiling. It's a performance sometimes. But dont lie.

employers want to hear you work well with others. you're a team player. sometimes they want to hear how you handle conflict with others.
I have WAY too much experience with conflict lol. I also had a leadership position at a previous job, so hopefully that helps

It's fair to ask them when you'll hear back from them... or even excitedly and somewhat jokingly say... "when can I start?"... shows some eagerness.

Wear a decent set of clothes. Be humble and respect the interviewer’s authority. Discuss skills relevant to the job. Talk formally but with energy.

- What makes you interested in a job at Costco?
- If you are working on a high-priority task and a customer approaches you looking for help, what do you do?
- What was the most challenging problem you’ve faced, and how did you handle it?
- Describe a situation where you displayed great customer service.
- Tell me about a time when you had to assist a difficult customer. How did you handle the situation?
- What do you think sets Costco apart from its competitors?
- If a customer accused you of demonstrating poor moderation skills... er customer service, how would you react?

Think of it like you’re selling a product. You want to make the product desirable. The product… is you! Honestly, sucking up can get you far. If they asks for your strengths, and you can’t think of anything in specific, you could say something like “I’m a very hard and persistent worker, and can’t stand to see a task unfinished”, or some random crap like that. If they ask for weaknesses, think of one, and turn it into a positive. Here’s one you could use: “I tend to get hyper fixated on things. For example, if I have multiple tasks/problems, I find it difficult to leave them unattended.” Notice how it builds off of the strength! Obviously, you probably shouldn’t use those exact examples, but you get the point. Last thing, be overly polite. Yes ma’am, no ma’am, yes sir, no sir, please and thank you.

1. Getting work experience in customer service, work as part of a team, and Costcos great working conditions, environment and benefits
2. Stop what I'm doing and assist the customer, unless the task is too important or impossible to stop doing, then I would ask a coworker to help the customer. If nobody else is available, I would help them to the best of my ability and offer to help them after I do my task.
3. That's a good one, ill have to think that over tonight
4. Never worked in customer service, but when i wss in Cadets I was running a booth outside of this exact Costco selling poppies for remembrance day. A kid asked about the cadet program, and I answered all of his questions to the best of my ability, even telling him about some of the other opportunities the program offers, such as scholarships.
5. Never worked in customer service or had a difficult encounter with anyone at a Cadet event.
6. The affordable prices, clean shopping environment, giving customers product samples, offering products in bulk, and of course the iconic, affordable and delicious $1.50 hotdog
7. Explain what I did or why I did it, why I think it was appropriate, and attempt to deescalate the situation. If the situation gets out of hand, I would ask a superior to intervene. If it was actually my fault, I would apologize and thank them for pointing it out, promising to improve on what I did.

Hey folks, so Costco reached out to me and wants to hire me part time. I've never done a real interview, so does anyone have any advice?
tell them your five year goal is to get into top management of the company.

tell them your five year goal is to own the company.
I think that's ambitious for 5 years, but I do plan to stay with Costco and make my way up the ranks. If I do ever own Costco, the hotdogs are staying $1.50

i think they might be impressed if you tell them how you plan to advance within their ranks for the benefit of all.

Not true at all. Out here they have great wages, in house training, flexible schedules, great benefits, and awesome food, it's the main reason I applied. Perhaps you were thinking of Walmart?

Also if they wanted the least qualified, they wouldn't have asked me. My resume is pretty decent so far
