July is White History month!

But again that’s another topic
I don't think that's another topic at all. I think that's the point you had in mind when you made this topic.

Whoever had the power would have done it
Surprisingly I agree with you on something

I simply cannot appreciate the people who contributed the dna helix, space travel, the internet, modern agriculture, penicillin or anything else…I MUST be just a jerk for even CONSIDERING appreciating these accomplishments which the whole world benefits from
Watch closely the pathological way of thinking
It’s sick

Well, like you said about the atrocities... whoever was in power would have made these discoveries. It's not like people's skin color helped them discover DNA or compelled them to commit genocide. Humans do good and bad things. Humans in power do more of both.

The evolution of a superior society

I don't think he's upset with me at all, and I don't mind if he challenges what I say.
And maybe more importantly, the point of a provocative topic is to encourage bickering. A much better critique of my posts is that I shouldn't bother because people who participate in such topics aren't interested in changing their minds, they vent some emotions, copy-paste some rhetoric, and then move on.

It should be COMMON SENSE to celebrate the accomplishments of the people I mentioned
Who in their right mind wouldn’t?
You want to make it about what you want to make it about then point your finger at me and say “Look what this person is doing”

Even in the modern day they flounder
Well, a society doesn't prosper on people alone. Natural resources count for a lot, particularly in pre-modern times.
Anyway, someone had to be first so to speak. We can't all discover penicillin. And when you're first, your population becomes richer, healthier, etc and are positioned to make more discoveries. And when you do really well you can even write history books... which means we don't need white history month (at least not in the US) because every month is white history month.
