#2 ZA ROOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKK

Hot_Rash

Bishop has a very slight advantage(of 0.25), but knights can be used for many more tactics

Hot_Rash

For example a bishop can't overpower a knight by itself

DM0118

yes like funny rook and king fork the classic

im-emma

like u cant checkmate with 2 knight but it's possible with 2 bishops

bishop is generally better in the opening and in endgames where the pawns are not in one close position

While knights are better in closed position and in endgames where the pawns close

Activated bishops are usually more powerful than activated knights

I love the bishop pair, but one on one I would always take the knight. Especially online, because it's so tricky.

#5, you are wrong :(. The bishop and knight are accepted as an equal 3 points of material. There have been players who have tried to change this and failed. The knight is a difficult piece to use, but garners a power so unique he can’t possibly be worse than a bishop. Especially considering the fact the bishop can only stay on one color of squares, also the bishop can overpower the knight on its own. Also I would argue bishops and knights are equal for tactics, I personally see bishop tactics more often though
Abtectous
#9, :( also wrong, activated knights are typically more powerful than activated bishops since they control such a wide array of squares, knights are betters in closed positions, not in endgames where the pawns are closed. If the endgame has pawns on both sides of the boards especially. The pawns being closed doesn’t change much in determining the value of the bishop. Vs knight. Bishops and knights are are equal in the opening.

Knight in atomic, no questions asked.

blud i mean when they just get activated. Bishops are best activated using fianchetto

Idk why in correcting a bunch of 500s

#15, depends on the pawn structure
Abtectous

Even then, there are openings that stop a fiencheto or whatever

but still knights being properly activated is much better than a bishop being properly activated
