the russian state backing of chess has proved extremely successful ,a good model for many countries to adopt , make it a national sport , train the youth who show a talent
id like my country to do it on a national level although we do have some very good youth chess clubs
i believe there are state or govt sponsored chess in your country post 2 , but i would have to look that up to be certain

heres one that caught my eye
from 8 august 2023 , present pm of uk put in place a £500,000 grant for schools chess now risen to 1 million pounds , hope it goes a long way
this makes me smile , its a pleasure to enter a hall packed with young avid chess minds , i wish we had these kind of things when i was young
imagine in just 10 or 15 years time vid from 2023 , these juniors will be our new chess heroes

should chess be funded by government
govt funding in chess can elevate the game
some might miss out because they dont agree with said govt
