The self is disconnected from everything else. despite the concept that it's a part of everything.
The point is is that the self creates all the suffering. Why is that?

Good point SA. Same difference.

The point is is that the self creates all the suffering. Why is that?
So now Troy is a little ceaser, and we are all just gladiators in his arena.. How sexy. Maneuvering is a transparent game Troy.
As to why the self creates suffering.. It is a normal integral part of life to have problems. Without them, growth would be what?
What happens to the mind which experiences no problem?
And the other thing is, we are not saying it's bad to suffer, nor that it's normal. We are looking at how and why the self creates it.
"What happens to the mind which experiences no problem?" In Earth's ENTIRE history, who is that Man or Woman?? https://youtu.be/3xbvq2c98nY
A select few of us, will call this latest observation of mine, as merely my Own 'projection' ..{fancy word for 'opinion' I guess}.. But, it seems reasonable, to say, that some 'projections'.. opinions, what have you - Are More silly and-or obnoxious, than Others!
Two examples, that come to mind, are 'worshipping' a 'golden calf'.. And, making an 'idol' out of the usage of such words, as 'projecting'.. and espousing, that 'Truth' cannot be known, even in its' most basic forms - Until, some mystical long passage of 'time' occurs; Preferably, when we're All gone. ..lol
Ps. - I'm trusting, that the 'Powers-that-Be'.. will excuse my 'idolic' fixation, on 'posting' and 'chess'.. as my means of coping! ..{'Thou shalt have No other gods, before Me' <- one of the '10 Commandments'}

We are not looking at others, then we are lost in interpretations.
We are finding out something, namely that we cannot speculate about what's happening when there are no problems.
instead we can look at what creates the problems? Many have suggested it's the self--can we see exactly how does that happen? Before we say it's good for 'growth', or bad for mental health or for bringing up wars, destruction and chaos.
How does it happen? It may be a simple problem, so simple we keep missing it.

Projections are useful only in a technical field, such as constructions, or physical movements of cars on a highway or people in a street.
In a non--technical field, however, they are creating mischief. There are no degrees here. All projections are created equal(here): they are all expressing insecurity, uncertainty.
But we can ask: insecurity of what? Is it not another projection that is insecure?
Rest assured, that the following Won't be unaminously 'received' as a welcome answer; Yet, human 'free will'..{constrained, as it is} - Almost guarantees that, in advance! [ :
Life is a series of problem-solving opportunities. The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you - depending on how you respond to them.
Unfortunately, most people fail to see how God wants to use problems for good in their lives. They react foolishly and resent their problems rather than pausing to consider what benefit they might bring.
Here are five ways God wants to use the problems in your life:
1. God uses problems to DIRECT you - Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving. Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change. Is God trying to get your attention? "Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways." Pr. 20:30 (GN)
2. God uses problems to INSPECT you - People are like teabags if you want to know what's inside them, just drop them into hot water! Has God ever tested your faith with a problem? What do problems reveal about you?
When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience. (James 1:2-3, NCV)
3. God uses problems to CORRECT you - Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It's likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove. But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn the value of something - health, money, a relationship - by losing it.
It was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me to pay attention to your laws. (Ps. 119:71-72, LB)
4. God uses problems to PROTECT you - A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend of mine was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem - but it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when his boss actions were uncovered.
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good . (Gen. 50:20, NIV)
5. God uses problems to PERFECT you. - Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders. God is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship to God and your character are the only two things you're going to take with you into eternity.
We can rejoice when we run into problems they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. (Rom. 5:3-4, LB)
Here's the point: God is at work in your life - even when you do not recognize it or understand it. But it's much easier and profitable when you cooperate with Him!

Get a hold of yourself. Every mind has had or will have a problem. You avoid that, and or shift away from the truth of the matter. No real respect for you there. I know your smart Troy, but you really should be called by your real name, which is 'Dodge Ball' sorry to say. THE SELF IMAGE DOES EXIST. Hiding from it, and or denying it tells me that you and yours are up to things, get me?

And so projections continue. See what happens: one projects something and then says: 'who, me ? No, sir, I didn't do it!'
The projection is given a life of its own. By whom, though?

The mind can have no problems whatsoever. It's a fact, but what good is that to you? Me saying it. You will either reject it--as you did--or accept it: either way, it's meaningless to assert it.
Finding excuses for not looking at the problem(' it's just life', 'it's good for growth', 'if you don't have problems you must be dead', to name a few) is easy.
And that's the real dodge: jumping on the bandwagon of avoiding to look at what creates a problem, at the mental level, which supersedes any other level.
Just because there are others who find it more comfortable to not look at what creates problems, certainly doesn't mean they are necessary or unavoidable.
So that's why we said, let's find out.
The self-image exists. So how does that create a problem? Look closely.

I Don't usually draw an analogy, of something I recently posted..{a 'copy-and-paste' to be sure}.. But, it's as if, 'troy' had just 'whizzed' by, a 'highway-exit-sign' to what he was looking for - And, Not satisfied, with the 'exit sign's, announcement of 'turn here'.. Procedes, on his way.. {based on his 'mind-set'}.. which 'Nature' allows 'btw' - And, continues, on his searching 'journey'.. where, determining the answer, is privately, Not the goal - Lest it put an end, to his latest, philosophical meanderings; And, a meandering, without end, it Is! - I mean, otherwise.. he'd need to find another topic, to 'meander' about - Where, once again.. An answer, {even when 'staring' him in the 'face'}.. Is called, a 'comfortable' virtual irrelevancy..{in so many words}.
Like I implied.. 'Highway exit-signs'..{if you will}, are put there, for a reason! .. Just like, '_od's, Word' .. Of which, it has been mentioned.. will Not be unaminously received.
And, come to think of it - Tis best, that it isn't! .. Another indication, of 'Nature's, built-in allowance, of human 'free-will'; In All areas! [ :
I didn't mean you, when I said 'let's not look at others.'
As for projections, as already pointed out(talking about repetition, as if things are understood and repetition is superfluous), we are not talking about physically anticipating each other's movements so we can navigate better through this world.
We are talking about speculations as an avoidance of fear, which cannot be avoided, and so the crash between reality and fantasy will always create suffering. Then one pushes that further back into the background, by inventing a supernatural factor--'somebody out there loves me, takes care of me', so they are putting themselves to sleep with the self-encouraging notion of 'its ok, everything's gonna be ok, relax,'
It's all self-hypnosis, while the 'hypnotized' pretends to themselves they are not projecting anything.
And so the noise of the mind continues and silence never comes. Creating a peaceful fantasy is just part of the same old noise.
