Iconic Mary
Mary

Good stuff from a ''long'' past time, listening while doing chores, full of hope and melancholy mixed together in a big puffy ball of emotions... I'll see if at the end I think of some other songs that could be related to those emotions!

Wait guys do you think chess.com streamers and top bloggers should have a flair as well?
I think you should listen to Mary.

I've had leukemia too, and it had a ''softening'' effect on the music I listen to. It reminds me of the fact that we really do not control our humanity, our fragility.
Some elements of these old songs stay even today, after all these decades (Modern soft rock reminds me a bit of their musicality). Music changed so much, but I think the feelings stayed mostly the same... Here's my personal playlist based on your choices :
U2 : The Troubles
Daft Punk - Within
Moby : Dream About Me
Heavenly - Cigarettes after Sex
Can you please answer my question as i want to be a top blogger and am really trying
Some kids will cry for attention,
Most will cry as they're born,
Some cry and post in the wrong topics,
Some make you cry till they're gone.
- mary reversed, no other topic
My favorite performance of "Blowing in the Wind" by Peter, Paul, and Mary, including some reflections by Ms. Travers decades later: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUpG0Cev7qc
I still remember the sadness I felt a dozen years ago when I learned of Mary Travers' death following her long fight with leukemia.
Here are some tunes she sang that I've always liked. Folks who haven't really should give her a listen.
No Other Name
Indian Summer (Elton John/Bernie Taupin)
On the Path of Glory (Petula Clark)
Follow Me (John Denver)
Song For the Asking (Paul Simon)
I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be Free
The Song is Love
