Master debater

i came, here to learn how to debate and while I have certainly learned a thing or too I am just not getting to the level I want, the peak or whatever. Can someone give me a hand?

Of course it depends on what style of debate you are involved in, the debate forum, the topic, your audience, etc.

But in general, I've always been partial to the Socratic method, question-based style of debate.  It's the same method lawyers use to box people into a position and the same method expert salespeople use to close the deal.
