Mastermind is a 2-player game where there are five blank places to put in colored pegs. One person has a secret code with the pegs. The other person tries to guess it. How it works is that when the second player guesses, the first player tells how many pegs are the correct color in the correct spot, and how many of the correct color they have. The person with the secret code can use more that one of the same color.
Eg. the secret code is 1. red, 2. blue, 3. green, 4, yellow, 5. red
and player two guesses 1.black, 2. blue, 3, green, 4 yellow, 5 yellow
I would tell them they have three of the correct color and location
Then they guess 1. blue, 2. red, 3. red, 4. yellow, 5. black
they would have 3 of the correct color, wrong location and one of the correct color and location.
Who wants to play using five squares on a chess board as peg holes and all white and black pieces as the colored pegs?
So the colored pegs would be a white pawn, white knight, white bishop, white rook, white queen, white king, black pawn, black knight, black bishop, black rook, black queen and black king.
