In some situations, not most but what people are often talking about

It's when u go on the internet... and pretend to be an attractive guy or girl, and target someone usually underage, to "date". If ur really bad you'll get them to send like pics of themselves and find where they live and stuff and then blackmail them or schedule a "meetup" in real life.... Worst case scenarios people end up dead.

But there's innocent catfishing as well where your just messing around with them. Or sometimes you can catfish a catfisher and destroy them lol which I've done.

My methods? First pick a social media site, discord, chess.com, twitter, whatever. Next, spend some time stalking various profiles of legit girls, observe how they talk and act, what they post, and how they set up the profiles. Also, believable usernames. Now create your account, and pretend to be a girl who's open to dating, or maybe with some persuasion, but don't make it obvious that's what your after. Be patient, sooner or later some catfish will start hitting you up. That's step one of catfisher destruction. They've taken the bait
