Perhaps you'd be happier at a forum for US Christians where everyone tends to share your hypersensitive moral views and desire to enforce them on everyone else.

how does one exist in this world when they are so easily offended?

I say if someone can find a bit of humor in a joke, have at it.  just don't degrade or abuse others...

Personally, I would like to see the forums remain "clean" not because I am offended by it, but because I think parents don't want their kids coming to a place with bad (profane/explicit) language. There are lots of good chess players who are also children, I think we should make this a place their parents want them to come.

3-word stories are fun, but creepy. lol  I agree though that profanity has no place in "our community".
steveda

I didn't see any offensive language in the forums that were mentioned, only innuendo and a few double entendres ... if the "kids" can understand them, than the posts weren't outrageous to see ... if the "kids" didn't understand them, no harm no foul ... so I don't get the complaint.

I do however agree that offensive language should not be placed on mixed company forums.  That said, some people need thicker skins or better, they need to learn to live and let live!

To quote Thomas Paine "That government is best which governs least."  and ot goes for people too!

wayne79, why do you leave so much space at the end of your posts?

Well said.

All forums have a topic category heading suggesting what should be contained in that topic.  Every single category except one should be about chess.  The only exception is the category listed as "Off Topic".  All topics should not have any questionable or offensive language.   Any abuse should be reported by using the report abuse at the bottom of the page.

How many times is somebody going to say that the report abuse is at the bottom of the page, before it gets OLD.

And maybe there should be a forum for evry one who shares the views of Mr. W and who don't want to allow people to express their opinions. This would consequently lead to a huge argument with most of the members getting expelled because they can hardly talk about anything.

I'm happy for you to express your opinions, you're the one trying to censor people.  My opinion is that you are an oversensitive pansy, which is why i think you'd be happier in a forum intended for oversensitive pansies.  Of course it's entirely up to you if you'd rather hang round here looking for posts to take offense at.  Perhaps you could try turning the other cheek.
