Another synchronicity. I was thinking about Professor Longhair the other day going over Texas music. Good choice, Eldred and Panda. Not sure what the Tipatina reference is exactly. Tipatinas has been one of the best clubs in New Orleans for years. Saw Meters, Warren Zevon....
The subject of "Tipitina" is unknown. According to an interview and a recording by Dr. John (Mac Rebennack) played at the WWOZ Piano Night concert in 2020, Tipitina was a type of or name of a bird. Rebennack said he had never heard of that before or since. The New Orleans music venue, Tipitina's, was named for the song,[2] and Tipitina's Foundation bears the Tipitina name."

Then there's Mojo Nixon. The most irreverent musician ever, with such greats as: Don Henley Must Die; Bring Me the Head of David (Rick?) Geffen; Jesus at McDonalds; I'm Living With a Three-Foot Anti-Christ; and the immortal, I'm Gonna Dig Up Howlin Wolf.
"Nixon and Roper parted ways late in 1989. The following year Nixon recorded a solo album on Enigma called Otis. On this album, Nixon continued his assault on pop culture, as in the song "Don Henley Must Die", which caused a fresh round of controversy, even to the point of Nixon's record company begging radio stations not to play it.[(Henley himself was unfazed; on July 31, 1992, at The Hole in the Wall in Austin, Texas, the former Eagle jumped onstage and performed the song with Nixon, causing Nixon to praise Henley as having "balls as big as church bells.")"
The Hole in the Wall is one of the few of the old bars left. It's just north of campus on the Drag. Spent many a drunken evening there playing pool and listening to bands.
"Nixon retired from the music business in 2004, playing his last live show on March 20 of that year at the Continental Club in Austin, Texas.[ He still occasionally performs at special events, as he did to support fellow musician Kinky Friedman's candidacy for Texas governor."
The Continental Club is one of the other few remaining Great Bars and Music Venues left from thirty years ago. The Armadillo World Headquarters was the Daddy of all great Austin bars. The Prince vids don't want to play. I never liked him until I saw Purple Rain. Then I was blown away. I can count to four. 
It's something on my end. The ZZ Top won't play now, or anything else, and it did before. No biggie.

As far as electric guitar goes, Eddy Shaver was one of the better ones. Here's one on his dad's record that shows his talent. Eddy OD'd on heroin several months before the album was released. He went way too soon.
