Well, I don't know anything about cricket players, I don't watch it (and I don't have a place to watch it either) and I can't understand the rules, but I'll say your team is good. I recommend watching darts though if you don't, the World Championship is ongoing and it's fantastic!

How come all Indians on here seem to be fans of cricket while no one else from the world is?

Well there are other countries that are fans of cricket... Just that none of them have seen this post yet

Guys by the way... It feels really depressing after losing the recent test in Adelaide

Not a bad side but where is W.G.Grace?

Well, if you put Gracey into India's team for the 2nd Test - he may be 172 now - but he'd probably be the top scorer by a mile. happy.png

I hope somehow the second test get abandoned. I don't see any chance now for India.

That's a line up made up of current players.

Sir Alistair Cook is a long while retired from test cricket though.

Yes, the secret to a long innings is that even when you are out, you are not out. On being given out LBW once he is reported to have informed the umpire 'They came to see me bat, not you umpire', before resuming his guard 😆

Yeah , and you def need a spinner - Bishen Bedi? happy.png

I might go for Harbajhan Singh (The Turbanator), Monty Panesar (Parmesan Tony), or Ashley Giles (The King of Spain) just because their nicknames are the GOAT. Better than Warney and Starcs anyway.

Maybe Monde Zondeki as well (All Hands) 😆

Yeah, you need a few more parameters: of players in the last 10 years? This century? All time? The only people on your list that might make mine are Steve Smith or Virat Kohli, but they both still have a ways to go in their careers. Sorry, I can only give it a 2 out of 10.

For mine, No. 3 has to be the best batsman of all time, Donald G. Bradman; follow him with Viv Richards, Sachin Tendulkar and Jacques Kallis, although all of those seem to be coming in far too low for their level of ability.

I can't say that I have any objective picks for the openers: personally I love Mark Taylor, and his captaincy was superb, but his window of batting excellence was relatively small compared to the others I've already got in the batting lineup.

Wicketkeeper has to be Adam Gilchrist, who changed the game in terms of the expectations of 'keepers with their batting. M. S. Dhoni first choice as his backup.

In terms of bowlers, you'd have to have Shane Warne in there; anyone who picks Panesar, Giles or Harbajhan Singh ahead of him have rocks in their head. If the pitch is such that you'd go for 2 spinners, then you'd add Mutthiah Muralitharan, no matter what you think of his action.

For the pace bowlers, there are any number of fine exponents of the craft: it'd be hard to go past any number of great West Indian fast bowlers, like Michael Holding, Malcolm Marshall or Curtly Ambrose, but then you also have the superb swing kings Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram. Australia's had some amazing players in this space too - there's a reason Pat Cummins is the No 1 bowler in the world at the moment, but you could put Glenn McGrath in there as well.

Jacques Kallis is your all rounder in that line up.

That's my 2 cents worth 😎
