I walk through the entrance of the maze and look at all the directions I may go to.
You see 3 corridors. One has whirring sounds like the ones in floor 3 coming from it. The other is just a stone passageway with a light at the end. The last one has a locked door blocking the way.

You enter floor 3 and encounter the robot again. There are 2 passages. One bends off at the end, and the other is a dead end, and it's the one the robot is coming down. It starts motoring towards you with it's armed outstretched.
