NO SMOKING!

I know you mean well petitbonom, but the 4 yr reminder makes me feel like crap. Most people have to try numerous times to finally quit.  4 yrs ago, I was smoking half a pack a day--10. Now I'm steadily down to 2. At least I'm going in the right direction. I've taken constructive steps to stay the course. I don't smoke in my car or my drum studio. I've gotten rid of ash trays, and I continue to go to the Sessasion classes. happy.png

Sorry you feel that way Ron, we ARE  and have been trying to help you.

You have indeed gone in the right direction, but you have stalled . Looking back at March 26th you had a day with no cigs , the hardest day of all when stopping .

Have to be hard here Ron, if you really wanted to stop you would have done it by now.

Remember, Ive been there , 20 plus a day for 20 years . I stopped because I knew I wanted to.  You are still uncertain.

I know....its just WAY more difficult than I thought it would ever be.  Buddy Rich drum solos look easy compared to this.frustrated.png... but thank you.

you're welcome ! in the cig market, they are the consumers who want to smoke, and those who want to stop. beside that, there are those who stop, and those who never started to smoke.

The best for the capitalism is people like Ron : simultaenously customer of all kinds of solutions to stop AND customer of the cig. Cross selling, the dream for any financial manager.

I used to smoke AND have a patch, and being along a swimpool, and smoking between two races ! and chewing a special gum strong in ...nicotine. Good luck, funny moments.

I doubt if the coloscopy has sthg to do with the topic,

it depends where u put usually your cig, lol

That's funny.tongue.png   The last time I had surgery, they said cutting back on any kind of smoking helps with the anesthesia.

Wow.......I haven't updated this in a month heh?   I feel off the wagon 3 weeks ago because a new neighbor moved in next door. He's a piece of work......I won't get into it but it caused me to go from 3 a day to 5. Yesterday I did 3 cigs......today I did 2.....and I'm shooting for 1 tomorrow. happy.png

Ron , 5 years and more on and you still havent stopped !

I have to say I can only conclude you do not want to.

You do have the will to do so, but are not prepared to say ' Thats it'.

Come on ! Its never too late.

Do people not understand how addiction works? Ron, you should be proud of how far you’ve come. I don’t know you, but I still congratulate you

Look back parkerparke , we have been encouraging Ron for the past 11 years to finally quit!

11 years !

RJC... you do it at your own pace. The fact this topic still exists shows you have a strong desire to quite. I have friends and family that have struggled with it for years. I even used to work at Phillip Morris for several years where I gained a greater appreciation for the issues.

My father was able to significantly reduce his smoking by transitioning to a vape. All he needed was a few puffs... no sense of having to finish a cigarette once you start.

New record this weekend....1 cig in 19 hrs. surprise....& 1.5 for the whole day. A couple days of 2....just nerves.....gotta do a colonoscopy next week. cry

Avatar of petitbonom

Well Ron I hope the colonoscopy goes well, my pal had one , he said its not the op but some foul drink to have that certainly clears the pipes one could say.

Perhaps a cig on the day will help? Just the one.
