NO SMOKING!

What's ridiculous about it Kevinum?  For the most part its either ex-smokers giving advice/stories/examples, or people in the process of quitting. Its a lot easier to win at chess than to quit smoking. I'll block anyone who's trying to de-rail it. And even if I'm not successful in quitting this time, it may be providing help to anyone thinking about quitting.

Keep at it Ron, if you really want to quit, you will. Try putting one in your mouth but don't light it.

Gawwd.. Must be losing it. Do not understand one word of post 129.

Let me translate it for you.........

I agree with RoJoCo the thread isn't ridiculous,it may save money AND life! only guys who give nothing but speakin' about other contributions and/or the auhor personally. There were brilliant, they are zero Kelvin or Kevinxxx even in their attempt to manipulate, they will finish as sociopaths in a ghost town hunting coyotes for food and finishing similar to their captures if they only catch one.

RoJoCo, I tell you one thing today : never stop to try to stop! forget and/or delete all the perturbators

If you like smoking, why give it up?

Because it kills you in the end and some people can't afford to drop dead because they have others to take care of but themselves. As simple as that. And please don't attack my English as you did with Marco. Thank you. We could have the discussion in French if you'd prefer. At least he makes the effort, right?

To Joseph :) I quit a while ago and I really smoked a lot! E-cigarettes are a good alternative if you ask me. I'll start smoking again, one day, when I'm old and grey... and wise. Probably. Maybe. But not right now. It's actually kind of cool you do not have to run out of the house, in your striped PJ's and rubber boots, in the middle of night because you ran out of cigarettes. Attracts the guys too much Wink

Cry I smoke all the time.  Except when I'm working and can't.  I've never tried to stop so don't know how well I would do.  I know I should stop but I don't.  I always admire people that try though.  It's on my to-do list. Seriously.

I smoke and drink kaynight.  Despite this disadvantage, one should try not to judge, probably.  Ha, my boss is scottish & I think she'd be nicer on either addiction. Undecided

Marco13;  Kay's a friend. He's just farting around. Actually, I'm shooting for a new record today. I've only had 5 cigs since midnight, and yes, I'm reading the Allen Carr book.Smile

No change there then.

marcosite; this is one place to look for starters; http://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/quit_smoking/how_to_quit/you_can_quit/      Another one is www.you can quit.org

I actually did/do buy e-cigs.  Safely in my pocket.  With my roll ups. I'm facing it.  Just too slowly. Undecided

Well your on the right path. You have to convince your mind 1st, before you can convince your body.

It's all about the habit for me.  I have a work break, I smoke.  Sometimes I just carry a smoke....just in case. I think that is the first habit to break.

RonaldJosephCote

We have Chantex, patches, E-cigs, gum, lozenges, cold turkey, cessation classes, hypnosis.  Not one of those methods works for everyone. The trick is to find out what works for YOU and stay with it. If you fail, get up and try again. DON'T STOP TRYING TO QUIT SMOKING.Yell

Guess what I'm doing now RJC? Wink

Noooh.  I know.  I'm joking.  I won't smoke the next one.  Just make one ready.  Comfort blanket or what?

Pulpofeira

It must be difficult I think.
