Is there any possibility that Djokovic will be 'exonerated' ?
Whether allowed to play or not ?

Is Djokovic actually a victim here ? Thinking he was doing nothing wrong?
I don't sympathize with anti-vaxxers ... a lot of people don't ...
but if he was actually misled to believe it was legal and okay to come to Australia unvaccinated - then is there a case for him to be 'bad guy' in the court of public opinion ?
The press has suggested that thousands have been not allowed to come to Australia ... have they hyped this ?
I still hope they kick him out. Including with the idea that fighting Covid is what matters - not one person wanting something.
But how do they kick him out - if they led him to believe it was okay and it was/is in fact not against their rules?

An issue here - the info that the news media gives us.
For example - supposedly somebody ran a QR test on one of Djokovic's medical test results. First it came out one way and then suddenly changed.
Is there a juxtaposition here of a whole bunch of unlikely things ?
Djokovic refuses vaccination ? That is his choice to make ...
As is opposition to forced vaccination - but very few countries actually force vaccination for all citizens. Indonesia ? The Vatican ? (Holy See)
But if the Australian government led him to believe he could come in the country ... how can he be blamed for that ?

Now the Australian Open has been postphoned because of his situation -
plus media reports seem to be suggesting Djokovic was not supposed to be in Spain earlier ...
Would Djokovic deliberately compromise himself ?
Turns out he owns a house in Marbella - is a resident - entitling him to be in Spain.
We're dependent on the media.
The media reports indicate the Australians could still kick Djokovic out.
But how do they do that if he actually was there according to their own rules ???
Such an odd situation - given that so many others aren't allowed in.
So 'convenient' - that he'd get Covid and then get over it again in December shortly before the tournament.
But only seems that way. Its objectively possible.
One thing that we don't hear much about regarding Covid - is people being tested for Covid antibodies in their blood in addition to being tested for Covid.
Why hasn't there been more of that?
I thought of that months ago - (nothing to do with Djokovic at the time)
but then thought "Hey if there were a lot of that - it could cause too many people to think its okay to not be vaccinated and not wear a mask - whether they've got the antibodies or not. So maybe that's why there's not a lot of that. Plus would 'antibodies' stop all the Covid variants anyway? "

That's what I was going by - what the press - the media - the networks tell us.
But its not always reliable. Things are left out.
Apparently Djokovic was/is allowed to enter the country because he had tested positive and then negative after that.
So that being the case - why was he detained at all if that's how their rules work?
Whether he's kicked out or allowed to play - the Australian government will look bad - which is also a travesty -
because Australia and its government have Fought Hard to stop Covid.
Their Covid deaths per million figure is like under 5% of the US deaths per million. Around 100 deaths per million compared with the US way over 2000 deaths per million population.
Djokovic wants to be not vaccinated - but also wants to be in Australia anyway to play. Wants.
Its awful to contemplate that people needing to get into Australia would be kept out while he gets in by wanting.
He has a team of lawyers. He has hundreds of millions of dollars.
But is the press 'hyping' this ?
Maybe it isn't what we think it is.
There are even people out there who try to claim that 'viruses don't spread diseases' or push quack cures for Covid.
There's a 'trust' issue here.
When I see text and pictures on my screen - I trust that its actually there 
So issue - when is the info 'reliable' and when is it not ?
Its not always clear.
One thing I do know is the media likes to hype things.
Gets more ratings - makes more money.
Except that Djokovic got in on a technicality.
Covid positive and then Covid negative. No vaccination.
There are other unvaccinated players in the Australian Open too.
Why would a conditioned athlete like Djokovic be scared of vaccination?
He's got a lot to lose !
But - the death rate from Covid is much higher among those unvaccinated !
Many unvaccinated - dying of Covid - beg to be vaccinated it seems. But its too late. Is what I've read.
Could that be the media making things up ? Seems doubtful the media would lie about that.
This seems to have evoked strong feelings on either side of the argument. My best friend is anti vaccination and I have had all 3 so far and we manage to get on. Maybe we just need to be more accepting of others who have a different opinion. This situation doesn't directly affect many of us. Let's all calm down a bit and enjoy our January :)

That is Misleading - the number of people vaccinated in Australia is much greater than those unvaccinated - to begin with ..
It is the percentage that is significant.
The quote is like saying - 'the number of people dying worldwide of cancer that have black or brown or blonde or grey hair - is much greater than of those that have Red hair' ....
The quoted statistic could be used to mislead those who don't think the numbers through.
Take any much larger group and claim they're having more of something in 'absolute numbers' ...
The chances of being hospitalized/killed by Covid are much higher for unvaccinated people. Chances refers to fractions or percentages ....
It isn't rocket science to figure it out.
Very often though - people just accept anything that pushes them in the direction they want to go ... (that's also not rocket science).

I haven't googled the latest Djokovic news - but until they go ahead and actually deport him - the 'suspense' (is that helping anything?) continues.
Plus there's the other unvaccinated foreign tennis players in Australia.
They should be deported too?
There's typically more than 100 times as much Djokovic news as all of them conbined.

Will the Australian government look 'bad' whatever happens ?
Maybe they made some mistakes too - 'human errors'
but the priority should be protecting the country's people - not protecting a foreigner's fear of vaccination.
If he doesn't want to be vaccinated - Australia doesn't look like a good choice of country to be in ...
Australia has fought hard against Covid - and if the end brings them out under intense disapproval for deporting Djokovic - so be it.
Lives are more important than tennis balls bouncing twice - and lives are more important than vaccination fears.
But - experience tells me this isn't over.
Decisiveness would be to just put him on a plane Now.
They haven't. This is Far From Over.
Winners for now maybe: Djokovic's lawyers.
Regardless of the legal outcome.
