They'd be doing Djokovic Two favors to kick him out of Australia.
One) so many folks back home in Serbia won't blame him for getting kicked out. (compared with him offering to leave voluntarily)
Two) he'll be much safer - physically - back in Serbia than in Australia.

A whole bunch of people will want to see the Australian government as 'the bad guys' in this.
But if anybody is 'the good guys' it is that Australian government.
And the Australian people.  Supporting that government.
Effective - in reducing the Covid deaths.
If the US - all levels of government and the people too had tried as hard as Australia - maybe there'd only be 50,000 Americans dead.  Instead of 850,000.
800,000 lives saved.
Value on human life.

And :  the court hearing is live online ?  that's not clear.

Do you mean Aleksandar? I think he was right about the refugees they have been held in that hotel for years but that is about it.

I looked back through some pages.
But it isn't a 'glitch'.

He's online right now, so clearly he's been muted. In some of his threads, he threatened physical violence against people. You simply can't do that here.

Yes.  Absolutely.
And 'getting away with something' is usually harder in these public forums than in the clubs here.

I couldn't find his name in member search.
Which could mean I don't have the correct spelling.

Regarding Djokovic - a lot of this could have been 'media hype'.
The man may be essentially innocent.  Believing he has done no wrong and intends no wrong and also believing he is legally correct.
And that might be found to be by the court.
Regardless of how much harm such decision causes to Australia and the world.
Djokovic's tests and prior trip to Spain and all his activities might have been distorted by the press.
Perhaps - the public will never really know.
Regardless of the outcome of the court case going on right now.

The Victorian Premier, just now : "It's very simple. Just get vaccinated. Just get vaccinated. Then everyone's time won't have to be wasted with this. "

Odd no? Bah I’m sure this always happens every time there’s a major event.

Its now Official.
Judges in Australia have now voted unanimously.
Djokovic has to leave Australia.
Didn't see whether its to be today or tomorrow.
No tournament for Djokovic.

Djokovic made a polite statement after though -
that he was 'disappointed'.
But his statement was graceful throughout.
He's accepted the situation it seems.
So good for him !  On that.

I wonder if - on reflection in the weeks and months ahead -
he gradually realizes that this is better not only for a lot of people and for tennis - but that the judges' decision is good for him too.
He probably doesn't.
Not yet.  I'm guessing that he will though.  And it'll become public?
We'll see maybe.

As for Nadal - he deserves to win (if he does) ...  and have 21 Majors ...
He might do it.
Nadal's competitiveness and hard work is beyond just tennis -
he's been regarded as one of the all time competitors in all of sports ...
Does anybody try harder ?
And he could win - in a country that has been making one of the best efforts to beat Covid over the years.

Apparently Djokovic can get into the French Open and Wimbledon this year without being vaccinated.
But not the US Open.

Really. He should be banned from them all.

Nadal is the only men's winner (2009) in the Australian Open draw. He's only won it once in 16 attempts, so I don't think he's going to win it again, or even make the final. It opens the draw for a couple of the talented  younger players to take the Title.

Djokovic was a loser the moment that he set foot in Australia. The judge’s have made the right decision, well done them 👏

Someone has resigned all their daily games, maybe in protest.

Piers Morgan summed it up perfectly - "Covid rule cheat, immigration form liar, and anti-vaxxer icon Novak Djokovic loses final appeal against deportation and will be thrown out of Australia without being able to compete in Aus Open. Good."

When Nadal has lost in the Australian Open I think you'll find its to players such as Djokovic and Federer.
Neither of them are in the draw this year -
So Nadal has a 'path' as it were.
In Spain - you might get great long odds betting against him.
Some of his opponents might pay 30 to one  when they should only pay 15 to one or whateever.

Yes the Djokovic decision was correct but

Australia has a terrible history of maltreating and incarcerating asylum seekers.

Little rotten Johnny [a.k.a the lying rodent] demonized refugees during his tenure as P.M

The current P.M has continued the trend of off shore processing in another country;

some people have been locked up for 9 years.
