It's an interesting discussion and glad it's allowed to run. I think most of us take for granted, accept the notion that we live in a democracy; I don't think that we do but that's a different discussion. Part and parcel of democracy is that we're free to say what we wish, express our views, which includes dissatisfaction.
If we feel that 'right' is being threatened then many become unhappy. It could be argued that 'free speech' means being allowed to say what you want, as long as you don't try and change anything.
Currently most of the worlds media is owned by a handful of tycoons. It's in their interests to promote the truth as they see it; if the unfavourable version of events may cause problems then they censor. We rely, or maybe I should say 'used to rely', on the media for neutrality, to report events factually, without opinion. We all know that this doesn't happen.
I think most would agree in some form of censorship. We don't want our children bombarded with inappropriate images, but at the same time allow them to be bombarded with advertisements. The advertisers know full well the children targeted are too young to have any economic power, but they'll pressure the parents into parting with their hard earned cash. So maybe more censorship in some area's?
I mostly only bother to say things that I find important on here. My real life personality is nothing like this... I tend to avoid the subject entirely. Mostly because I'd be preaching to the choir.
