The latest research from BASE at CERN have succeeded in establishing that the anti proton is larger than the Proton. As the proton needed to be bigger than the anti-proton for the standard model of the Big Bang to work the model must then fail. No Big bang. Just didn't happen.

....could not agree w/ u more !!

The Big Bang is like a buncha ppl playing Mister Chess Dom Fritz & selecting the very best move by consensus. Fritz is Anti-BB & the consensus are all those in favor of coming to a reasonable thought. They say 'aye' and they should just resign by move 25....if they were reasonable.

I call it the Big Burp (from another U) or the Big Bamboozle.

Cherenkov comes from exceeding the speed of light for a particular medium (eg: water, where light moves at .75c)

Sorry IKTM's. I kinda went tangential there.

Back inside the circle now happy.png .

sorry ? are you ? are you really ? happy.png

Tho' being in the circle too long is boring !!

You have never been in the circle or the box or anything resembling structure big leggy. You are a free beautiful wood nymph ,a spirit of the imagination not confined to the bonds of earthly measures and I wouldn't have you any other way. You are the breath of wind on a summers day, the beam of moon on a summers night always when this little life is rounded with a sleep .

13 billion year old planet found in our galaxy....and they (Astrophysists) say the whole universe

is only 13.8 billion years old ? Our Galaxy may be 13 billion years old but the universe is much older according to our Unified Model.

Avatar of tittiesnxans

No, the universe is at least 46 billion years old.

Avatar of tittiesnxans

OMG I almost wrote 46 million haha

I don't know, sorry, mate!

I think when the paradigm of universe isn't clear then the relation between light characteristic and star's distance wouldn't be clear.

This is different if we observe light characteristic in lab where all the parameters are reachable and under control. While stars observation is involving the true nature of gigantic space. The things that is  unobservable in lab might be observable in stars observation.

It is hard to believe that Ursa Mayor is 60 million years light travel away. While it can be seen by unaided eyes. With that gigantic distance, it should be seen as a bright night sky or dark sky.

The properties of light are pretty well established, murmuring about "paradigms" aside.
