Like I don't think you can call people scumbags for not thinking about risks and they're effect on other people. Chances are they had one too many drinks on the 4th and we're just celebrating too vigourusly. I mean they deserve whatever fine and punishment they get, but can you really condemn both them and the police when you to break the law and put yourself and potentially others at risk (it doesn't matter if the road is clear, you are still at a higher risk, especially if there is even one or two houses nearby. Then you are disturbing the peace) by speeding? Like they shit off some fireworks once, you speed, with other people in the car (by your own admission) and are proud of it...
I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life but if your gonna complain on a chess off topic forum and swear about a police force and endangering lives then be careful what you yourself are doing and what you tell us about it.

yes I agree it is very sad to see how many people are victim of fireworks. the number of heavy injuries by firework every year is just horrifying and every time I turn on the TV and see children hurted and crying, I feel terrible and wish they forbid fireworks as soon as possible. I wish more people will take this problem seriously and that the world will change the fireworks=money-attitude
