First album I ever bought on my own was Hendrix bold as love.

Got lucky, because I find the rest of his stuff rubbish.

Band of gypsys. Come off it mate.

But that album is absolutely brilliant all the way through.

Good choice. Here is a tune off one of the first albums I ever bought (there were 3 firsts for me because it was 3 for £20 at HMV 😁). Bit of an age reveal there ha ha.

I like Hendrix a lot, but some of his later albums get a bit self-indulgent with 8 minute songs being normal. It's like come on Jimi lol. They forced him to 3 minutes on Axis and it was for the greater good.

HMV is really a rip off now.

Great thread btw with loads of stuff already here. Don't think I've seen the Smashing Pumpkins so I'll add some.

And Fear Factory + Deftones.

I do like Pumpkins, big fan of that grungey sound. Here's a bit more.

Him + Alkaline Trio etc

One of my friends hates them with a passion, but only likes that song because of the grunge sound I think.

Need to listen to more of the Pixies. Only know this
