A cat is a cat.
A rat is a rat.
there's a time for jokes...it's not when someone loses a pet or has lost a family member. Give it a rest.
PDSA ,also posters your area , sadly you may on doing that find similar neighbours if thats the case , police ,
PDSA first or nearest animal shelter , even if they aint seen your cat (fingers crossed they have) they do good work and would welcome any support whilst you are there
If it was an Oriental hair...it will be in a Chinese meal....Wheeee...
No wonder Hadrian built that wall to keep you lot out.
Sometimes you've got to laugh so you don't cry -- and thus is the value in comments like kaynight's, harsh as they may seem.
I, too, have lost a pet due to allowing it too much freedom, and i wish i could go back in time and act more responsibly -- very sad.
We have to remember that, though they seem 'smart,' they're still animals with a mentality, at best, comparable to that of 2-year-old human, despite their physical ability to move quickly, etc.
Best to keep them indoors, unless you're far. far from roads -- they might not like it as much, but it'll save/extend their life in more cases than not.
(Plus, it's usually illegal to let them wander about freely...and bad for the wild birds and small mammal types trying to eke out their own living outside of loving homes.)
All that being said, i hope things turn out well for you.
It sounds like you helped to give it a good life -- take comfort in that. It could've been a lot worse for it, had you not given it your love and care all of those years.
if hes a male and not been fixed hes looking for love. I feel bad for you bec mine does the same thing, then shows up 3 days with a claw ripped out and scratches all over his ears. I keep some poly-sporin handy for wound care.
I let mine be free as he was a parking lot stray who was hungry and let me pick him up. He wont stay inside so I had to learn how just to let him go. He wasnt going to be kept in the house. Just didnt seem fair to keep him inside when I see he has so much fun outside with birds lizards and the squirrels. Only time I ever seen him chortle is at squirrels. I hope your kitty comes home. I know how it is to love a cat and miss them. ..
My cat came back after 45 days once. No idea where she went or what she did but she came back skinny and full of fleas. Cats know their way home. I'd like to tell you not to be worried but I can't, it's impossible, but they do find their way home.
Yes, Cats know their way home .When I moved into my new house, I lost my cat. i was wondering where he went. after two days I received a phone call. My cat had returned to the old house, 10 km away. crossed busy roads but fortunately he did it. I went and brought him back. i kept him inside home for a few days and everything is fine now. Hope your cat will return soon. best wishes.
1818 you and your cat are in my prayers. Hoping for the best outcome.
