I would have been.

You may want to or not believe but this is true and you don't have to . (People who read this).

what you felt is true. but that does not necessarily mean that how you interpreted that feeling is true. i mean, it's true that you felt something is choking you. but that does not necessarily mean that it's paranormal.

what you probably experienced is what is known as "sleep paralysis" accompanied by hypnagogic hallucinations. at least that's what the symptoms seem to me.

check out this page: Sleep Paralysis

 i once experienced that...

I was once sleeping in a room all alone when a thick rubber ball hit me in the back. The ball was originally 4 feet away from me on the floor and the bed was 2 feet above the ground.

That is only one story and that is the short version

Now, there's a lesson! Don't fall asleep on the squash-court.

I'm sorry no one appriciates the theme of inner peace and freedom that hutter and Bhuddists priests teach. People think its just a joke, but in reality... but is it a reality? Yes. It is what you want it to be, like controlling your dreams (thats my favorite).

lol I was actually sleeping in my sisters empty room (long story involving my 18 year old brother having a temper tantrum)

Due to my ignorance, your lack of clarification, or both, I don't know what you mean. Do you mean you woke up only to realize that waking up was part of the dream later or that you are aware that you're dreaming while you're dreaming? Both happened to me plenty of times.

It was smtms OBE and smtms lucid dreams and I was totally aware that my body was sleeping and I knew where (I was completele uninterested in watching it). Smtms I visited ordinary but still strange places with or without people or animals smtms I was attacked. Only I knew it wasn't a usual dream. I can distinguish between them.

The thought was that all this let me learn there's much more than our daily life and that we don't die when it comes to the end of this life. We go on. And more to this it's just great. Pity, it doesn't come often.

About 12 years ago I was putting myself through university working the night shift as a security guard in a Houston Warehouse.  It was a cold night, so I had closed the office door and turned on a space heater.  I was watching perhaps  the worst movie ever made ("Rhinestone" starring Sly Stallone and Dolly Parton).  In my defense it was the only thing on TV.

At about 3:30 am a combination of warmth from the heater, a comfortable chair, and a trance inducing script caused me to drift off.  I know I know, the sleeping security guard bit is so cliché, but it's true.  There's really no excuse for sleeping, but the warehouse was locked, it had a security system and an eight foot barbed wire fence.

I was woken by a cool draft.  I looked to my left and saw a man walk past the window.  I freaked.  I thought it was a burglary.  I grabbed my flashlight and went out of the office calling for him to stop, but  nobody was there. The building was secure and though I scoured the premises I found no one.  I figured I was half asleep and shrugged it off.

A couple of weeks later I told my superviser(cousin)   He told me that three guards had quit half way through their first shift and others had experienced weird things including himself.  I worked there for another six months before I  transferred to another post, and in that time I never saw anything like that again.

ps If you ever want to hear about the supernatural ask a graveyard shift security officer.

Good story, thank you for sharing.

2 stories, Non-fiction!!! This one still raises the hair on my arms and neck....About 15 years ago, my ex's grandmother died and we travelled from hawaii to tennessee to attend the funeral. We stayed at the grandmothers home. The very first night we were there (about 1:00 Am) my daughter came to the room I was in, woke us up and told us that Vesta (grandmothers name) was ok, and she was happy. She never knew her grandmother, and did not know her Name....she was only 2 years old...And we only referred to her grandmother as Ma-Dear. Since then I definitely believe in the para-normal.

My youngest daughter when she was 3 years old we were at a hardware store in a new city and as we passed a Man in the aisle she said "where is your dog?" the guy looked at her for a second and said "he's at home". She then said "is he a white dog?" He looked at her again and said "Yes, do you live near me?" We did not.  How did she know?

My mom had a pre-cognitive experience once. She dreamt about 4 distinct numbers and played them in a 6-figure lottery, and won like 55 bux lol. Only 4 out of 6, why couldn't the spirits give her all 6!!!!!!!!!!
