Last year while kayaking we saw an adult and one young otter on a river they hadn't been seen on before. I looked up otters and found they only like the cleanest, healthiest rivers. We had seen them on another river but never on this one. It looks like all the money and hard work Pennsylvania has put into remediating abandoned coal mine seepage from upstream is paying off handsomely.
