All things pizza.

My vote:  When I'm not doing home made, my favorite (from when I lived in the Bay Area): Pizza My Heart - Bay Area franchise... started as a hole in the wall in Santa Cruz selling big hot slices at the counter ... a local favorite.  Grew and spread.  Still among my top 5 pizza places/types.  Particularly their pesto and their mushroom slices.  Indescriably good.  No picture could do it justice.  Their mastery of the ingredients flavors and texture is virtually unsurpassed.

The tomato sauce - tangy, rich but not excessive.  The pesto - the pine nuts contribute wonderfully to the texture and the flavor, rich and fulfilling.  The cheese - soft and a willing participant, not tough and stringy like too much cheap mozzerella.  The crust: Very thin and flexible.  The slices are big and floppy, rich and sloppy.  They practically melt in your mouth in a symphony of flavor and complementary textures.  Nothing too firm or inharmonious.

I'm not sure if i like that crust. I don't doubt that the pizza is still good though.

I would totally eat that pizza. Except... I am allergic to pine nuts. :P

According to a TV expert. He was Italian. Only cheese and tomato qualifies as a real pizza. I tend to agree.
