Plato's Future.

We all possess the Future but come to have it by recollection.

So like possess it in a bank and collect it, so that we have it

This course will discuss Plato's concept of the Future as well as his epistemology and philosophy of language

Good?

Future as an object of Respect

Respect = Knowledge

as opposed to belief (possessing knowledge but not having it)

Respect = Knowledge = Power = Love

Object of Respect = Law = Beauty

Well yes, he represents the future, just as a good work of art does. You see him in all his subliminity and he reminds you that you can't predict the future. So yes, if he truly is an object of respect or awe, then yes, he is no different from a Picasso painting.

Plato had a lot to offer, especially in epistemology and philosophy of language (specifically in the Theaetetus) that modern philosophers would do good to study

And the future is well and alive, it is the past that is dead, according to some Continental philosophers, but that's out of my area of expertise for the moment
