There is an episode in Star Trek Voyager where the holographic doctor is left on a planet and reactivated hundreds of years after Voyager leaves by the native population - BUT at the end of the series when the ship get back to earth he is STILL on the ship !

In Classic Star Trek, a very early one where they are wearing the pilot episode uniforms they use warp technology to "routinely" return to earth of the 60's to check upon nuclear arms issues between USSR and USA. YET years on in the "Voyage Home", when you would assume science and technology have advanced the return back in time to retrieve a humpback whale is seen as tricky proposition !

Also in Classic Star Trek,an early episode, Spock describes "One of his ancestors" has being human. OK, technically, parents are ancestors, but I'm not buying it...

Check out the Star Trek episode where Khan is revived. Kirk's phaser falls off his belt. Bones sees it and waits for the Director to say "cut." When that doesn't happen Bones slides the phaser away with his foot.

The doctor left on the planet and reactivated 700 years in the future was a back up copy of the EMH.

Was that the official Trek line, or you own inference as a matter of interest ?
