Taken by my sister right outside my door last year:

 

That's a boomslang( tree snake)

We also get puffadders here, and rinkhals. There has to be leopards in the mountains, and just yesterday somebody saw a caracal on one of the walking trails, though that would probably not do damage to you unless you corner it.

We have really great spiders, large rain spiders, babboon spiders and Golden Orbs too :)
