i really wish gophers would find their homes at neighboring properties, many of which are vacant or totally away from humans.
i feel sad in what i am compelled to do. don't they know they are intruding? some would say it is humans who are intruding but that is another topic altogether.
and so i am helping other animals with their prey. i leave the gophers (and one mole i got the other day) on the ground and some other animal will get it soon after. this preying assistance is not the occupation i wish to be doing. i prefer the gophers making their homes elsewhere or the animals doing the preying doing a much better job.
