Profile Pictures

I've seen a bunch of people having a profile picture that is from the internet (including me). I'm not sure if this is a good idea though... some pictures have copyright and you really don't want to be sued for using an image, right? So what I'm suggesting is for people to, dunno, make their own profile picture?

if people don't want copywriters, they would make it so you can't download them

If it's really copyright approved, why does Google make them so that it's downloadable and easy-to-drag onto your computer?

@BigBroChess those images are probably the non-copyrighted images, but I created this forum for the images that might be copyrighted but are the easy-to-drag type of image

If pics are copyrighted, why they can be downloaded and pasted?

If I use copyright images (which I use daily because I never saw a non-copyrughted image in my life from Google or Bing), will I get punished by chess.com?

I think kids should use pics of something else to protect themselves on line. Adults should use a pic of themselves so that kids know they are talking to an adult. But that's just my way of thinking

Btw, my profile picture is from google and it allowed me to download it so it's not copyright??
