ive played like 4500 games here and i have over 500 players blocked which i reported for cheating and out of those 500 maybe around 30 to 40 of them are recognized and confirmed as cheaters by chess.com as i received mails returning my points, so officially 1 out of 100 players is a cheater but according to my experience 1 out of 8 or 9 is a cheat maybe not 1 out of 5 . either case even 1 out of 100 is still a big number thats why id like to know why people do it i mean i understand cheating in other games like video games but in chess??? i mean chess????

yea cheating as using a bot or a chess engine to play best moves , bot for bullets and engine for longer time controls.
i play mostly 1 min bullet as its the less toxic time control compared to other settings ( less cheaters) and usually i can tell if someone is a cheat even before the match starts simply by looking at their profile and cheaters usually have 1800+ rating in blitz chess and 1500 in bullet lol i mean yea some people simply not good in faster time controls but usually you dont get huge gap of 300 points , between 1800 and 1500 if you are a 1800 blitz player your bullet also will be 1650+ at the minimum, like this guy i played had 2100 blitz rating and 1530 in bullet i mean wtf lol....

obviously im not talking about those specific type of players who as you said dont play much bullet im talking about those who play enough bullet games but still have a considerably lower rating in bullet then their blitz .

for example me i'm bad at bullet with 1350 rating but good at 10 min blitz with 1800 rating........ that doesnt make me a cheater.......
true but as soon as you get used to play more bullet games, your rating will be over 1500 at least. The games I played against you, you were pretty solid just not used to play fast enough I think

so this thread is not about cheaters in chess.com so please dont close this thread by saying this should be discussed in cheat forum . this is about understanding why so many people resort to cheating in online chess because the number of cheaters are simply too great a number to be ignored or considered a minority in my experience over many years of online chess i'd be surprised if i get matched against 5 honest players a in row cause almost always 1 out of 5 is a cheat . now if someone can explain the reason or the psychology behind this behavior it will be great thanks.
