Question about proxies... for those more computer wise than I

Hello. I've been playing the PC game Call of Duty 2 recently on multiplayer. There are several servers to choose from, each of which may have a certain playing mode (Capture the Flag, for example) or a different map to play on. Well, I was unfortunately banned from one of these servers that I like.

I know that a proxy is my answer. So I go to Internet Options>Connections>LAN Settings>Proxy Server, where it asks me for an address and a port.

I do a bit of Googling and I find that the site http://www.xroxy.com/proxy-port.htm gives a nice list of them. Port 80 was already entered into my Port box, so I looked for addresses under port 80. I find one based in the U.S. where I live, and I enter it in and press ok/apply and all.

I open the game up again and attempt to connect, but it still says I am banned. Can anyone explain why and what I can do about it?

Thanks very much :)

I think you are thinking of a proxy as something other than a middle man.

My idea for you is become a script kiddy, which means take tools developed by hackers and use them for yourself. I would suggest planting a Trojan Horse in some random person's computer, and opening a back door. Then install a remote access for said computer. Install Modern Warfare 2 on that computer, and get banned and start the whole process.
I know more about hackers than the average Joe, so that's what I default to.

If someone thinks of a better idea, or legal for that matter, go with them.

EDIT: You could also create a worm which "drops off" the Trojan Horse, if you don't want to get up in the OS.
