If you tell a teacher you’re having suicidal thoughts, yes—they are usually required to report it. Teachers and school staff are what’s called mandated reporters. That means if they believe a student might hurt themselves or others, they must act and connect you to help, even if it feels uncomfortable.
As for your mom—if what you’re saying is true and she reacts that way, that’s not okay. If you can’t talk to her, you should still tell a trusted adult, like a teacher, counselor, or another family member. You deserve to be taken seriously, not laughed at.

I think they have to report any serious stuff
Also, if they suspect any other person is involved in any way, I think they gotta report it to the security guard on campus, which would prob lead to an investigation
