I think it depends on your religion. Christians, Jews and Muslims might feel that it is an oxymoron. An atheist might feel differently.
Speaking as a Buddhist, it might be taken as a form of "pith instruction" -- a complete teaching that has been distilled down to a single phrase. Like a koans.
