An ancient colony of animals, they voyaged around the world on their allies, the turtles. They discovered all the islands, before they finally settled on one mainland. After a food crisis, the turtles moved out, and the animals began to grow wild and eat each other, and they all died. This forest then grew on the corpses of the animals, and the souls of the animals haunt this land, altogether creating the force. They still looked for corpses, so they tried to kill you, but........
