NO, not even close. MOST of it is, I'll agree with that. Noam Chomsky said the Wall St Journal news dept is very good, even though their editorial dept is populated with morons. The Nation, Mother Jones, and The Christian Science Monitor (surprise!) are reliable news sources and this just scratches the surface. You do have to look though to find anything approaching accuracy, reliability and news intentionally "overlooked" by the mass media.
BUT maybe you were referring to TV "news?"
