There's a sense of underlying wrongness near Chip's room.

alright, quick rundown of RF lore incoming

There was a really, and I really mean it, really powerful being called the Verdant Eye. They poured all their effort into creating the perfect creation, and ended up creating the World Tree, aka a multiverse of sorts. Then a guy called the Heretic, another powerful being, (more powerful than gods, weaker than the Verdant Eye) came along and created life and scattered it around the World Tree. The Verdant Eye didn't like this, but it couldn't interact with the World Tree and kill all life because of something called the Cosmic Lynchpin, so it opted to shatter the Heretic into a lot of pieces across the World Tree. Life continued to spread for a VERY long time.

Pt. 1

Eventually, the Verdant Eye was able to squeeze out enough influence to send rain to Earth, causing Rainy Forever to happen. It then caused Dead to go on the path that he did by manipulation and advice. Dead then created Attica, which used robots as the main guys of everything, and caused Dead to become an egotistical maniac with many screws loose. Eventually, Dead managed to find a way to traverse the World Tree, becoming a multiversal empire and competing with the Rainy Empire, the dominant multiversal empire at the time.

Pt. 2

In the main universe, a series of events led to Chip killing Dead before Attica could completely crush the inhabitants of the multiverse, but since the Verdant Eye basically controls the afterlife, brought Dead back as a suped up Servitor, leading to Dead finding and destroying the Cosmic Lynchpin. This frees the Verdant Eye, who proceeds to steamroll the entirety of life, and destroys the World Tree because of the conclusion that life was too deep ingrained in the World Tree to simply eradicate. The Verdant Eye was captured and contained in the Box, a powerful artifact from before the creation of the World Tree, but not before the Verdant Eye destroyed all of the World Tree except 3 worlds, Earth, the ruined world, and the druid world.

Finale part

This however, as you can see is an alternate universe where Chip was killed

Oh yeah forgot to mention, the shards of the Heretic that were scattered across the multiverse turned into Chips. Chip is a shard of the Heretic. Also, nice character :]
